Terms of Service

1. Licence
Alnora’s PHP code is licensed under the GPL v2 or later. Your purchase grants a licence to receive updates and support, and to use the Pro features on the number of sites your plan permits, for the duration of an active subscription. Licensing and activation are managed through our provider, Freemius.
2. Plans & site limits
Pro and Clinic include the same features; they differ only in how many sites the licence covers:
- Free — Unlimited sites, core booking features, no subscription.
- Pro — 1 site, all Pro features.
- Clinic — up to 3 sites, all Pro features.
3. Billing & renewals
Pro and Clinic are annual subscriptions billed through Freemius. To keep service uninterrupted, subscriptions renew automatically each term using your payment method, until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation stops future renewals.
If a renewal is not paid — the licence lapses and the Pro features stop working until the subscription is renewed. Renewing reactivates them immediately. (The free plugin is unaffected.)
4. Refunds
We back Alnora with 30-day money-back. If, within 30 days of your purchase, you experience a defect that makes the software’s material functions unusable, and after working with our support team we are unable to resolve it, then on your request we will issue a full refund of the purchase price — or provide you with a working, non-defective replacement.
For clarity, this guarantee covers verified defects only. It does not cover a change of mind or unmet expectations, missing software features, or any defect or loss of use arising from a conflict or incompatibility with a third-party theme, plugin, host, or other product, software or service.
This guarantee covers your purchase of the Alnora software only. It is separate from any refunds your clinic issues to its own patients: Alnora provides tools to take payments and to refund them through your Stripe or PayPal account, but those funds move through your gateways, and your patient payment, cancellation and refund policy is a matter between your clinic and your patients.
5. Updates & support
An active licence entitles you to automatic updates through WordPress and to priority email support. Documentation is available in our docs. Support covers the plugin itself, not third-party services you connect or custom code.
6. Your responsibilities
Alnora runs on your own WordPress site and stores data on your server. You are responsible for:
- Being the data controller for your patients’ data and having a lawful basis to process it.
- Securing, backing up and maintaining your WordPress site and server.
- Configuring any third-party integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Twilio, Google, Microsoft, Zoom, Zapier) and complying with their terms.
- Handling payments, deposits and refunds to your own patients — Alnora provides the tools, but the money moves through your Stripe/PayPal accounts and your patient refund policy is yours to set.
- Meeting the medical, tax and regulatory obligations that apply to your practice.
See the DPA / GDPR page for how data is handled.
7. Acceptable use
You may not resell or redistribute the Pro plugin as your own, remove licensing mechanisms, or use Alnora for unlawful purposes.
8. Warranty disclaimer
Alnora is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It is software that helps you manage a practice — it is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical, legal or compliance advice. You are responsible for verifying it meets your needs before relying on it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the product is limited to the amount you paid for it in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or lost revenue. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Alnora at any time. We may suspend a licence for breach of these terms. On termination, the rights granted to you end; provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. liability, governing law) continue.
11. Purchases & disputes
Purchases of Alnora are processed by our reseller, Freemius, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction — so your purchase is also subject to Freemius’s terms and refund handling. Nothing in these terms removes the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence. If a question or dispute arises, contact us first — we genuinely try to resolve things directly and fairly before anything formal.
