Before you switch
Can I ask for a deposit on some treatments but not others?
Yes — the deposit is set per service, as a percentage or a fixed amount, so a consultation can be free to book while a filler appointment needs money down. The slot is only held once that payment clears, and the balance is still recorded as owing.
Is consent stored with a timestamp?
Consent given at booking is recorded with the time and the IP it came from, against that client’s record, alongside the answers to your own consultation questions. Export, erasure and an audit log are built in rather than bolted on.
Where do before-and-after photos actually live?
They are uploaded to your own hosting and attached to the client’s record — not a phone gallery and not a third-party service. Fields you mark as sensitive are encrypted with AES-256, and the key can be kept outside the database entirely.
Can a client book two treatments in one visit?
Yes. Let them choose several treatments together and the durations and prices add up automatically, with the whole block reserved instead of two appointments that happen to sit next to each other.
What happens if somebody cancels the day before?
You set the notice period. Inside it a client can cancel or rebook themselves; outside it they cannot, and the deposit has already protected the hour. If you decide to refund anyway, it goes back to their card from the appointment itself — in full or in part.
